sustainable fashion

Sustainable Fashion is here to stay. More and more brands are taking the sustainable route in every aspect of their product development: from concept and design all the way to delivery. What is even more exciting is that consumers are becoming far more selective about what they buy and where they buy it from. This shift in consumer behavior has given a boost to a new generation of designers creating designs with sustainability at its core.

While luxury fashion houses like Chanel and Ralph & Russo are already doing their “bit” with eco-couture & sustainable fashion; many small independent boutiques have also embraced sustainability. They are creating on trend designs by incorporating environmentally friendly practices in their processes.

At TBS we are firmly behind this sustainability movement and at the forefront of what we do are our very special ethical boutiques , who believe in upcyling, using eco-friendly materials, empowering craftsmen and women and supporting rural artisans. Here are just a few of our favorites;

1) All Things Felt

Felting is a traditional form of handicraft in Nepal.  All Things Felt is founded by Divya Kedia in Singapore, every piece is designed by Divya and handmade by female artisans in Nepal. The artisans work from home and earn a living. Divya not only hopes to bring the splendour of the Nepalese hillsides to homes in Southeast Asia, but she also aspires to empower more women back in Nepal. She believes that happiness is handmade.
