The hexagonal kikkou pattern resembles the tortoiseshell & thus is associated with longevity. The Kiku, chrysanthemum, is the Flower of the Imperial House & often used icon of Japan. This vintage Fukuro Obi was sourced from the Osaka & is approx 30 years old, & in excellent condition.
Handmade by self help groups in Cambodia. Dimensions: L 30.5cm X H 22cm



Product Description

Our signature clutch, hand made from vintage ‘obi’: the sash worn with kimono at formal occasions. Featuring an internal pocket and slim magnetic snap fastening. Width of 29.5cm, the depth varies according to the pattern: our designer cuts each obi by hand to maximise the presentation of the embroidered pattern and to ensure no two pieces are the same.
